Global Pharmatech Pvt. Ltd. (GPPL), a Sterile Injectables Company, started operations in 1996 that manufactures high quality liquid sterile formulations in small volume glass vials and ampoules, and large volume glass bottles. With a strong commitment to Quality and Compliance, GPPL has built a reputation in the industry for quality and reliability. The facility is capable of manufacturing both aseptically filled and terminally sterilized products.
GPPL has EU-GMP (Hungary), Health Canada, PIC/S, NAFDAC, ZAZIBONA, WHO-GMP, ISO 9001. GPPL is registering products to trigger US-FDA approvals.
With two decades of experience in Sterile Manufacturing, we have in-house capabilities to perform end to end integrated pharmaceutical development and manufacturing ranging from literature search, formulation development, analytical methods development and validation, stability studies, global regulatory management, cGMP manufacturing till supply of commercial sterile injectables products.
Global Pharmatech facility spreads across a 5 acres plot, in Hosur, Tamil Nadu (outskirts of Bangalore) with a 5,000 SqFT injectables R&D facility. The manufacturing unit consists of an integrated ampoule line and an integrated glass vial line.
In the last few years, GPPL is truly evolved as a prominent injectables manufacturer by leveraging India cost advantage and scientific talents and by following stringent quality systems.

Mr. T. Thomas
Mr. T. Thomas started his career, in 1950, as an Industrial Engineer with the Indian subsidiary of Unilever (Hindustan Lever Limited – HLL). He became Chairman of HLL in 1973.
Mr. Thomas joined the Board of Directors of Unilever Plc, London, in 1979. He was responsible for consolidating the Worldwide Specialty Chemicals Group and making it one of the major profitable and growing Product Groups in Unilever. After his retirement from Unilever Plc, in 1989, Mr. Thomas took up the assignment of a Visiting Scholar at the Sloan School at Massachusetts Institute of Technology, Boston, MA, for a year (1989-90) and taught a course in Global Strategy to MBA students.
On his return to India in 1990, Mr. Thomas set up the Indus Venture Capital Fund, modelled on Venture Funds in the USA. He was appointed to the International Advisory Board of Lafarge, the French Cement Company, from 1986 to 1992. Mr. Thomas served as non-executive Chairman of Glaxo (India) from 1992-1998. He was non-executive Chairman of Lafarge (India) from 1999 to 2005. Mr. Thomas has majority ownership in Global Pharmatech and ITTI (a Software services Company, headquartered in Bangalore, India). He is the Chairman of the Board of Governors of the Cathedral School, in Mumbai, India, and of the Trust of St. Thomas (erstwhile Anglican) Cathedral, in Mumbai, India. Mr. Thomas has been closely associated with the Missionaries of Charity (founded by Mother Teresa), since 1976.
Ms. Anna Thomas Chacko
Ms. Anna Thomas Chacko is a graduate from Shriram College of Commerce, Delhi University.
She worked for about one year in an advertising agency in SSCB Inc, New York. She also worked in the Export department at Hindustan Unilever Ltd., for about two years. In addition to being a member of the Global Pharmatech’s board, Ms. Anna Chacko manages ITTI’s Middle East operations.
Dr. Bhaskar Krishna Arumugam
Dr. Bhaskar Krishna has been the Managing Director of Global Pharmatech since May 2013. Earlier, Bhaskar was the CEO of Granules India Limited (GIL), a vertically integrated Pharmaceutical company. Under Bhaskar’s leadership, the company grew at 27% CAGR, growing from revenue of Rs. 200 cr ($40 M, 2007) to Rs. 750 cr ($150 M, 2013).
Prior to joining GIL, Bhaskar spent 11 years at Eastman Chemical Company, a USD 7B corporation in various functions such as R&D, strategy, business development, and manufacturing. During this period, Bhaskar worked on nutraceuticals, advanced materials, and specialty chemicals.
Bhaskar has a B Tech (Chemical) from IIT-Madras, PhD (Chemical) from Purdue, and MBA (General Management) from Duke University. Bhaskar has eight patents and numerous publications and presentations to his credit.
B R Shah
Mr. Bipin R. Shah, is a Non-Executive, Independent Director of GPPL since June 2007. He is a B.Com from Bombay University and a member of The Institute of Chartered Accountants of India. In 1956, he joined Hindustan Lever as Management Trainee.
He became a Director of Hindustan Lever Ltd. in 1979. In that capacity he was responsible for a very commendable turnaround of the company's dairy business.
In 1981, he was assigned the additional responsibility of being Chairman of another Unilever subsidiary Lipton India Ltd., which was facing considerable losses and financial crisis. Mr. Shah managed not only to turn around the company but also to restore the confidence of the shareholders and employees. As a result, the profitability of the company improved substantially and the share price of Lipton India which was quoted below its par value of `10/- in 1981 rose to be over `400/- by 1992 when he retired from its Chairmanship.In addition to Lipton responsibilities, Mr. Shah was also Chairman of Export Business of four Unilever Companies in India viz., Hindustan Lever Ltd., Lipton India Ltd, Brooke Bond India Ltd and Ponds India Ltd.
In 1989 he attended Senior Executive Programme conducted by Sloan School of Business, Massachusetts Institute of Technology at Boston, USA.
On his retirement from the Lever Group of Companies in 1992, he joined Indus Venture Management Ltd. where he was the Vice Chairman until May, 2006. He has also served as Independent Director on Board of CRISIL, Marico Ltd, Mafatlal Finance Ltd, Henkel Ltd.
Dr. Bhaskar Krishna Arumugam

Finance & HR
Mr. Shivananda has 15 years of finance experience across various industries. He joined GPPL in 2007 as Financial Controller, taking additional charge of Company Secretarial work from 2010 and Human Resource function from 2013. Previously, he was CFO at Devon Innovations which included Devon Innovations’ orthopedic division, Ormed Medical Technology. Prior to that, he was Manager – Finance at Mysore Sugar Company Limited.
Shivananda holds a degree in commerce and is a qualified Chartered Accountant and Company Secretary.
